Beach Road, St Kilda
Lately I received some nasty comments about my noisy imperfect B+W photos. Some even asked me to use proper camera gear too.
To me, I went through different life crisis or drama. These photos were my ways to distract myself from other inevitable mundane matters. The poor resolution or back focusing of the gear actually take me to those time too.
Honestly most of these posted images on this blog were sitting in a forgotten hard disc. Like most of us, these were often lost images that one cannot get this memory back, good or bad.
Pentax Posts - Check out these ugly photos lol
"Everyone's a critic" -- just ignore those nasty comments! The rest of us enjoy your photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deb. I enjoy your regular memes which bring me joy in day to day life

DeleteThere is a certain style to your photos, and you get to post what you want. I am astounded by all of the gear in your possession.
ReplyDeleteI was once a gear head that pixel peeps with all different gear.
DeleteThat body is the goal! I love your B+W photos!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe goal is hard for me to achieve!
DeleteNice action shot!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jeanie!
DeleteNo hagas caso, las fotos en B/N tienen su encanto y una foto no es solo como un buen disparo y una buena edición, sino también lo que nos transmite la imagen.
ReplyDeleteUn saludo.
Interpretation varies. I do think there was a reason I stopped doing street candid years ago
DeleteThe nasty comments don't even deserve a response. To hell with them.
ReplyDeleteHaha William. You are so right about that.
DeleteI may not be an expert in photography, but I know what I like and I like your photos very, very much!!! I find that taking photos is my peaceful place, I truly do feel at peace when I am out in nature and taking photographs. I really appreciate you sharing yours. Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Denise. I feel the same. It is a way to express oneself. These images were interpreted as failures. Who would have known that they actually meant more when I got older?
DeleteRoentare, pay no attention to those bores who criticize your camera equipment, or technical flaws in photos. Images are created by the eyes of the photographer and reality. The camera is just a recording device, some better than others, but it is the photographer who takes the picture, not the camera. Your street photography captures a gritty reality, and the images are your own choices. Keep it up. It is your vision that is most important.
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of Melbourne through your photos ...
ReplyDeletejust ignore "nasty" comments.....
Love your work. Period.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot some people are so mean ignore
ReplyDeleteI admire people who can play that sport, I'm a bit too clumsy for it.
