Eight seconds promised,
he aimed for eight grand
but the horse had opinions
and canceled the plan.
Hat still committed,
boots bold to the end,
while gravity whispered,
“Let’s not pretend.”
The crowd held its breath
then laughter broke free:
some rides you conquer…
some ride you, cowboy, with glee.

This cowboy has marked out his bronc. He looks good, but too bad he didn't make his eight seconds. Rodeo is a strong tradition here.
ReplyDeleteNot that popular here in melb
DeletePreciosa escena en un monocromo estupendo y con una luz difícil, pero bien resuelta.

Yeah only shot that is clear enough

Appreciate it!
DeleteIs he about to fall off? The horse looks sad too :-(
ReplyDeleteYes, he fell off right there
DeleteExcelente escena. Has captado un gran momento del rodeo.
ReplyDeleteDown Under Rodeo!

DeleteUau, quina foto!
ReplyDeleteEl teu bon ull va ser-hi al moment just.
Salutacions.
Excellent shot. Well done my friend.
ReplyDeleteWow, so well-described, and what a great capture!
ReplyDeleteThat poem is so clever. But the horse had opinions literally made me laugh out loud. There is nothing like that split second of "oh no" before gravity takes over, and you captured the vibe perfectly. It’s such a mood, boots still bold even when the plan is totally canceled. Great shot with the Panasonic, too; the timing had to be perfect to catch a moment like that.
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised to see this--- I've often thought that much of Australia and the US are similar in life...
ReplyDeleteFar too similar
DeleteOutstanding click
ReplyDeleteThe bond between the horse and the cowboy isn't there yet...
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous shot! Well done, Roentare!
