Two steps from the sea,
yet lost in a screen
the tide checks in hourly,
he checks in between.
The horizon composes
a masterpiece wide,
but his thumb conducts
a far smaller tide.
Waves crash their applause,
clouds drift with intent
meanwhile, a message:
“Seen.”
…then not sent.

ReplyDeleteI like the picture, but I have to wonder if they aren't looking at a picture that one just took of the surf-- rather than texting. Perhaps that is just wishful thinking. Nice capture of the two guys.
ReplyDeletePerhaps these guys are trying to find their way to the sea using google maps? I'm just kidding. They are sharing something on that screen.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful pic.
ReplyDeleteGreat light! Lovely #TravelTuesday
ReplyDeleteI wonder what is so compelling on that phone? Especially with all that beauty around them!
