    These places are still in use around the world. Clearly they do not reform or reduce crime in the long run. Powerful, but stark photo.

    Not sure I would wan to be there. Do the walls tell stories? I think they could. Toured Alcatraz long ago and came away with chills head to toe. But, your picture is fantastic.
