In the Flagstaff air, thin as prayer,
she lifts the offering high
a vessel catching sunlight,
a quiet bridge between earth and sky.
Feathers arc like spokes of memory,
her silver garments whispering
the names of those before her.
Around her, the crowd dissolves
into a single held breath,
as tradition rises
weightless, unwavering
in her outstretched hands.
