On Elizabeth Street
chrome stones hold the weight of waiting
a young man folded into his phone,
thumbs flickering like city lights.
Footsteps pass without ceremony,
backpacks, boards, quiet destinations.
Traffic hums a restless hymn,
glass towers watching everything.
No one stops
yet in the metal’s cold reflection
the city pauses for a breath,
and loneliness shines like silver.

DeleteI haven't seen seats like that before, very unique.
ReplyDeleteCold to sit on it in winter
DeletePotser que no s'aturin per respirar, però per mirar el mòbil sempre hi ha temps.
ReplyDeleteSalutacions!
Good
ReplyDeleteBonita foto de esa calle en la que las personas caminan sin apenas fijarse en quien está sentado descansando.
ReplyDeleteBest to ignore others
DeleteI walked past the sculptures a couple of days ago and thought that they aren't very interesting as art, and as seats hopeless.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not practical
DeleteInteresting design for that public seating area . . . .
ReplyDeleteYou caught the action on this street, and of course there is one person focusing on their cell phone. Looks like a warm day. I look forward to warmth again.
ReplyDeleteNot comfortable! Even wood seems more natural. Still, they are interesting.
ReplyDeleteSuch attractive seats - though I don't think I'd use them in cold weather :-)
ReplyDeleteShiny seats
ReplyDeleteJ'adore ces bancs. Tu les rends en tout cas très photogéniques
