Along the Warrnambool path they move together,
wind tugging at hair, bushes closing in like witnesses.
A pram rolls softly over painted lines,
holding a small, unseen future between them.
One yawns the weight of tired days,
the other listens to the rhythm of steps.
Between scrub and sky,
ordinary love keeps walking forward.
