The cowboy spins circles
like he’s trying to lasso
his last two functioning brain cells.
Behind him, carnival clowns grin
with the confidence of men
who’ve never paid horse feed bills.
The horse trots on patiently,
fully aware
it’s the only professional in the arena.

Una actuació molt sucosa per als fotògrafs.

DeleteRoping I love this photo.
ReplyDeleteLiving in city gets very little of this
DeleteYou really got me laughing on this one!! I rode once in a county fair horseshow. The horse knew what he was doing, and responded to the judge's call to change gaits. I was 14 years old and a city kid.
ReplyDeleteWell done as always.

ReplyDeleteA calf roper's horse would be running full speed, but not so for a header and heeler. The heel roper comes in behind a steer and ropes its two back feel. It takes coordination with the header, skill, and perfect timing. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteMagnífico este reportaje del rodeo
ReplyDeleteGreat shot :-D
ReplyDeleteMan of other times.
ReplyDeleteExcept for some the attire in the background, it could pass for an old image.
