      I sometimes think that when someone is on a headphone call and I can't see the earbuds.
      ---and interestingly most people who are "talking to someone who isn't really there" are loud.

    There are no norms controlling to public use of cell phones. People talking loudly on the street used to be thought of as having mental problems before cell phones.
