Check out Candid 701

It has been over three years since I started this blog, and I never anticipated it would last this long. My previous attempts at creating one ended in failure. A dear friend, who shares my passion for hobbies, once told me that my blog lacked the classic, confrontational candid photography feel. Over time, I noticed that my ambition and skill set have deteriorated. I find myself imitating Instagram-style street photography, which is not truly my forte. I have also succumbed to the popular culture prevalent on social media.

I am now questioning whether this type of "faceless" street photography is really what my readers desire. I would greatly appreciate your comments and feedback.

  1. Light and framing are perfect! Great photo!
It's easy to see that Cicciolina is a lovely place.

With regards to your question, I think your blogging style is not related to the rise of the selfie culture. That's the main reason why it's still interesting.

  2. Happy hour must be quite different!
I like the dim, half-lit restaurant.

  3. I think photos like this are great, but I think that in addition to having good equipment and knowing the technique, you also have very good artistic taste.
So everything you do will be good.

  5. That is a lovely photo of the cafe :-D

I don't have any social media and refuse to sign up. I only have my blogs. I enjoy your posts, they can vary and can be whacky at times too :-D

    1. I do it like a ritual now. Even when I snap shots in streets, it is pretty much subconscious clicking

  6. There are people who likes Instagram-style street photography, and others likes yours...and if you enjoy what you do, then don't give up.

  7. I don't mind the some faceless photographs, but I do like the captures of normal people in public spaces.

I really like your style of photography. Really! Your blog has not been affected by routine or mindless photography.

  10. I have always enjoyed and admired your street photography - something that I struggle with myself. And I don't think your imagery has deteriorated at all. So what is truly your forte? As much as I like your photography I would like to see what is your photography passion. Blogs change over time, and yes probably in line with current trends. Stay true to yourself. Have a fabulous 2025 and thankyou for your visits to my blog. I appreciate hearing from you.
