Upon Flinders Street they tread with cheer,
Two youthful souls in garb austere.
In shirts and shorts, with steps so fleet,
They journey forth through bustling street.
The city hums, the trams roll by,
The footie’s call is drawing nigh.
With laughter light and spirits flame,
They march together toward the game.

Nice shot and the perfect poem, as usual.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot. I love that they are having fun with no phones.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely written! It has a pleasant rhythm and vivid imagery — you can really feel the city’s atmosphere and the energy of the moment.
