a vendor waiting with a quiet smile.
A woman stands in front of him,
ponytail falling over her shoulder,
hand on her hip as she studies the menu
blood orange, lemon, granita.
The food-festival bustle drifts around them,
trees rising behind the tents,
a simple moment of choosing a drink
in Flagstaff Gardens.
