Along the Warrnambool coastal path
a rider leans into the quiet,
rubber humming against pale stone,
breath measured, eyes ahead.

Walkers drift behind like memories,
shrubs holding the wind in check.
Between sea air and steady ground,
the day moves on, unannounced.
