Under the 40 sign he waits
half tourist, half philosopher of tram-stop fates.
Backpack packed like he might flee
to Brunswick… or just JB Hi-Fi.
Shadows argue with the sun,
Typo clocks say errands aren’t done,
while Swanston Street streams brisk and loud
a moving, honking, retail crowd.
He studies traffic like modern art:
Is that my tram… or just a false start?
Bench beside him offers a seat
but commitment moves too fast on Swanston Street.

Very good
ReplyDeleteYou are so very talented in taking these shots. Light, dark, movement. Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteToda una experiencia personal y desde luego única.
ReplyDeleteThis middle-aged fellow must be a traveler visiting the city on his break from work and enjoying the choice of shops it offers. He has serious walking boots, and a serious backpack containing all he needs for his travels. "Typo" is not a logo I would want as I do my best to avoid typos.
ReplyDeleteHe's either just stood up or about to sit down? Love the Typo sign in the background :-D
ReplyDeleteIt's incredibly difficult to capture images with such different lighting. Even so, I think the result is more than acceptable.
ReplyDeleteUna aturada per recalibrar-se.
ReplyDeleteSalutacions!
Ready to go walking again.
ReplyDeleteIt's quarter to five, and he's trying to decide whether or not to take a closer look at something in the window. The bus is coming, after all.
