A queue of patience stretching half a mile.
Benches host the weary—bags, kids, and sighs
While bargains glitter somewhere just inside.
A father negotiates with a yawning boy,
Two girls giggle over some small joy.
An elder surveys the bustling scene
Retail theatre, loud but routine.
And off to the side, apart from the fuss,
A woman scrolls through a quieter world than us.
Here commerce hums, festive and dire
