Beneath the sign of Tropicana’s glow,
where pyramids of oranges patiently grow,
a traveller leans in, bag swinging low
perhaps for a juice, perhaps just to know.
The street hums softly in monochrome light,
heels on the pavement, a city at night.
A woman checks her phone, half-lost in a text,
while citrus and neon debate what comes next.
“Fresh juice!” declares the fruit in a heap,
“Wake up the tired! Revive the half-asleep!”
And somewhere between the window and street,
two strangers pause
for vitamin C and a moment to meet.

Very good
ReplyDeleteThe girl seems to hesitate and consults the shopping list, which she has written down on a note on her mobile phone.
ReplyDeleteYes you are perspicacious
DeleteFine looking food bar. There are so many choices, so decisions must be made. Waiting for food is always hard to do. Have a happy Easter, Roentare.
ReplyDeleteInteresting word for a fruit and vege shop but suitable.

ReplyDeleteGreat photo of such unusual shop and I also like the description, which you wrote down.
It will be all memory later on
DeleteTal vez espera a alguien que entró a comprar o tal vez está mirando el móvil en el que lleva una lista confeccionada de lo que habrá que comprar.
