though we’re nowhere near where the Seine River flows.
“L’échanson” hums from a curated wall,
while coffee decides the fate of us all.
One bites a pastry like it holds truth,
another scrolls time away in youth,
and behind the bar, with a practiced art,
espresso keeps the world from falling apart.

El poema captura perfectamente esa 'pose parisina' que mencionas; me encanta la idea de que el café sea quien decide el destino de todos nosotros.
