He tunes the city one string at a time,
While trams keep strict, unsentimental rhyme.
An open case makes a hopeful appeal
Small change for a moment you almost feel.
Shoes pass by with important intent,
Deadlines louder than chords he’s bent.
Yet somewhere between a note and a nod,
He invoices silence—and tips the gods.

Easy to see that the street musician has been playing his guitar since very long time, as he seems quite old. The photo also shows a beautiful woman on the right side and the typical Melbourne's tram on the left side. You really made a great photo.
ReplyDelete...he's not drawing a crowd.
ReplyDeleteA good shot :-D
ReplyDeleteLa vida dels músics als carrers és dura, per tant hem d'agrair d'alguna manera que ens donin la seva música, encara que sigui amb un somriure.
ReplyDeleteSalutacions.
He's got quite the sound system there!
ReplyDeleteAntes de comenzar es bueno afinar y templar bien el instrumento.

I love street music. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteShe is actively ignoring this busker as he plays his tunes. She doesn't eat to have anything to do with him. He has much equipment to move on that cart, so playing on this street is an effort. I hope someone appreciates he music.

ReplyDeleteThere's a lot to be said about this image. When you're not playing, nobody's listening. The equipment set up, with foot pedals, tells us he makes his living playing music, maybe in a bar at night and on the street during the day. The pedestrian tells us there is a whole world that takes little note or interest in what we do, so do what makes you happy and let the world deal with it.
