Beneath the pharmacy’s fluorescent grace,
A young man drifts through retail space.
Hair like a prophecy, eyes half asleep,
Scrolling through secrets his phone must keep.
The city rushes with errands and plans,
Coffee in paper cups, shopping bags in hands
Yet he walks slowly, almost theatrical,
Like a guitarist late for something mythical.
Behind him the crowd obeys the day;
He alone seems edited from the play.
A black-and-white saint of the CBD stream,
Carrying cargo pants and a private dream.
