Whittlesea Rodeo Series #1402 Whittlesea Showground

 


A cloud of dust, a flash of hide,
The calf had little wish to abide;
The horse gave chase with practiced grace,
While courage wore a youthful face.

Yet every cowboy learns this truth:
Speed belongs to restless youth;
And though the rider takes the praise,
The horse earns half the laurel days.

    Both horse and rider are well coordinated. The horse is stopping and will keep the rope tight while the cowboy will step down to throw and tie three legs. Great action photo..

    Those horses know what to do! There's a big annual rodeo in my area, very well attended. Lots of ranches still in parts of Oregon.
