Beneath the lamps, the night is still,
Three figures wait in quiet grace;
The empty stool, the vacant place,
Keeps watch beside them, calm and chill.
A bowl, a breath, a muted sound
The city fades beyond the door;
And in this humble, tiled café,
The lonely heart finds peace profound.
