Beneath the lamps of fading light,
The footsteps wander through the night;
Each traveller bears a tale unknown,
Yet walks the crowded hall alone.
The polished floor reflects their way,
As moments pass and fade to grey;
And while the world moves swiftly on,
One fleeting scene is here ... and gone.
