Off Exhibition, the city’s hum,
Where lights command and footsteps drum.
A man in shades, like silver screen,
Stands with his boy, a tender scene.
They wait for green, the crossing’s call,
The child’s small hand enclosed in all.
Beside them stands, with comic air,
A hat askew, a traveller there.
He tugs his strap, adjusts his load,
A wanderer upon the road.
Two moments caught, yet worlds apart—
The star, the fool, both play their part.

Holding Daddy's hand to cross the street, always wise.
ReplyDeleteYeah, world is hazardous
DeleteThe contrast between the father-and-child tenderness and the whimsical traveler adds depth, while your lens choice and camera detail hint at the precision behind the artistry.
ReplyDeleteKeep the good work, mate
Una bella escena. Ese sol lateral genera unos excelentes contrastes de luces y sombras.
ReplyDeleteDirectional lighting is always dramatic
DeleteIt seems they are not locals. Lovely description.
ReplyDeleteNot too sure. Locals can dress similarly
DeleteParece que el sol es muy fuerte y lo mejor es llevar alguna gorra que cubra la cabeza.
ReplyDeleteMuy buena escena callejera.
I always wear hat against Ausie sun

ReplyDeleteMagnificent continuation of yesterday's photo of people waiting to cross the street!
ReplyDeleteEasy to snap when they all line up
DeleteA la espera de poder avanzar un grupo de tres personas y un único hombre permanecen al sol mientras por detrás otros esperan también. Muy buen encuadre y desde luego un magnífico monocromo.
ReplyDeleteHe is blocking the sun
DeleteI notice that everyone is looking in a different direction. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat interpretation of the pic!

ReplyDeleteMay I know what type of camera did you use to take the photo?
ReplyDeleteDSLR? SLR?
Aha. Waiting to cross. I thought maybe they were watching a parade.
ReplyDeleteHe looks really confused and his wee boy doesn't look happy. Must have lost?
ReplyDeleteLooks like he's struggling to think about something.
