Melbourne Candid Series #1191 Little Collins St

A man and his giant shadow of fur,
stride steady through the narrow street.
The dog’s paws echo like soft drums,
marking time against the city’s hum.

Bicycles lean,
cars gleam,
but it is the quiet bond between walker and beast
that bends the lane into rhythm.

People pass,
signs blur,
yet in this moment—
the city belongs to two companions,
carving their way through Melbourne’s breath.

  2. Once again people look like their dogs. Both of them look well fed.

  3. I don't like people who live with such big dogs in a flat. They don't love their dogs.

  6. I am reminded that we met a man with his gorgeous big dog yesterday. No pics though. What is wrong with me? 😎

  7. Big fella and big dog! Is he looking at the bike wondering if he should get one?

  10. It cracks me up how much people and their dogs come to look alike. I especially love these words: " yet in this moment—the city belongs to two companions, carving their way through Melbourne’s breath."
