A sign reads shops,
letters simple, pointing nowhere
and everywhere.
Beneath it,
three men in baseball caps
move down the narrow corridor,
their footsteps a rhythm
on stone that remembers
a thousand mornings.
Shadows bend along the walls,
lanterns blink,
the lane breathes with coffee and rain,
while the word shops
hangs above them,
a small command,
a promise of doors opening
into the heart of Melbourne.

The two younger men are following the lead to the older man in the middle. They have all just come from buying drinks. Great slice of life photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat companions too
DeleteGoing to a match?
ReplyDeleteLooks like it or just heading to drinking
DeleteLooks like dad and sons enjoying their day.
ReplyDeleteI doubt they are dads and sons though
DeleteToda una tentación para muchos. "Tiendas". Los tres hombres no parece que vayan a caer en la tentación de las compras. Ellos van a su conversación sin más. Me gusta mucho como logras esos blancos.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo
In their own zone
DeleteWith your usual mastery you show us the "rhythm" of the streets!
