Melbourne Candid Series #1301 Swanston St

On Lonsdale’s pavement the city streams,
A river of errands, bags, and schemes.
Caps pulled low, and faces set,
Each chasing a clock they haven’t met.

One wheels supper home for tea,
One scrolls through life invisibly,
While shoppers march in casual file—
Urban ballet, block by mile.

The lights say wait, the feet say go;
The city hums in monochrome flow.

  2. This could be a young woman and her Mom on a visit here. They are dressed for cooler weather than the rest of the people on the street.

  4. The photo clearly shows that Melbourne is a cosmopolitan city: there are two Asian women on the right side and two Caucasian women in the middle of the photo. There are also two black man behind them.
    Great photo.
