On a weekday corner where buses sigh,
Five voices rise to interrupt the sky
No sleigh bells here, no tinsel cheer,
Just photocopied harmonies, slightly off-key but sincere.
One hides behind sunglasses and a page,
Another sings like rent is due this age,
A pillar listens, stoic, unimpressed
While traffic hums its basso, doing the rest.
It isn’t winter, no festive decree
Just a choir ambushing passersby casually,
Proving with folders and unapologetic breath:
Joy doesn’t need a season—just a bit of public depth.

Melbourne's people can listen a choir while walking back home. That's great!
ReplyDeleteParece un coro que canta en la calle.
