Shutters down, the shops asleep,
Graffiti whispers secrets cheap.
A masked man walks with measured tread,
Buying time (and maybe bread).
“Huff & Puff” still claims the air,
Though no one’s left to buy or care;
“Mollyfuns” promises delight
Closed till further notice… right.
Posters shout of nights once loud,
Now peeling dreams to no one’s crowd.
Yet on he goes, bag in hand
A quiet king of a quieter land.
