The crossing light flashed white and bold,
A river of humans began to roll.
One checked texts, one pushed the pram,
One small child refused the plan.
Tourists drifted, locals marched,
Summer heat already parched.
And somewhere deep in city lore,
Someone forgot what they came for.

This is a very nice photo. Lots of action. Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteA lovely family walking.
ReplyDelete...crowd crossing.
ReplyDeleteTraffic lights are always a great place to capture moving images of all kinds of people. Perfect shot!
ReplyDeletePlaces to go, people to see, stuff to do.
ReplyDeleteLove the different expressions on people's faces. Two appear to have noticed you taking the picture, but the others aren't even looking where they're going; they're looking down either at their feet or their phone. I like to keep alert and look at traffic, people do run red lights or come zipping around the corner way to fast. The poem fits the scene very well.
ReplyDeleteAbrazo
An interesting random crowd crosses the street when the light changes. These stranger share little except location and direction.
ReplyDeleteFor me it's the stocky young man on the right, with one foot on the line-- He's daring fate to throw anything bad at him today. He can handle it!
ReplyDeleteYou´re about to be run over. You´re so close you could almost touch them.
ReplyDeleteBusy wee bit walking into the crowd!
